Job Summary
A friendly, high-tech environmental company has an opportunity for a Production Technician. Manufacturing, selling and supporting the AQMesh air quality monitoring system from its base in Stratford-upon-Avon, Environmental Instruments offers an exciting role for someone with technical skills, a positive attitude and the appetite to grow as part of this US-owned group.
The Production Technician will predominantly be involved with manufacturing products and assist with technical investigations and repairs, respond to technical questions from users all over the world and occasionally provide field support when required. Full training will be provided for this varied role, which supports the Manufacturing Manager.
The product is a combination of electronic hardware and cloud-based data management, using the latest mobile communications technology. Our team values are expertise, empathy, integrity and creativity, so if you have these virtues then we want you to join our friendly, energetic team.
Responsibilities
* Assemble new orders or products and sub-assemblies, following agreed processes
* Liaise with internal teams to fulfil orders and respond to customers promptly
* Pack products for dispatch and liaise internally regarding shipping
* Assist with repairs and upgrades of existing customers’ units
* Respond to customer technical tickets, up to the level of training provided
* Verify manufactured equipment and quality control, according to agreed processes.
* Receive and check stock that is delivered
* Based at CV37 9NQ, potentially with occasional customer visits (up to six a year)
* Working week Monday-Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm with half an hour lunch break, Friday 8.30am to 1pm
Experience
* Background in a technical role, ideally electronics or manufacturing
* Confidence with IT systems
* Proficiency with Excel, Word etc.
* Ability to solder desirable but not a requirement
* Attention to detail and curiosity (asking the right questions)
* Reasonable written and oral skills for communicating with customers
* Full driving license to travel within the UK and use of a car
* Passport to travel outside the UK
