As a Shift Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading, organising, and driving the daily operations of our distribution centre. As a Shift Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations. You’ll lead a team of Team Leaders and Warehouse Operatives, ensuring maximum productivity, safety, and quality at every stage—from Goods-In to Dispatch. Requirements What You’ll Be Doing: You'll be working on structured shift pattern from 8am to 8pm as follows: 2-on, 3-off, 2-on, 2-off, 3-on, 2-off (7 shifts in 14 days), giving you a great work-life balance Leading and managing warehouse operations to meet KPIs and business targets Ensuring health & safety policies are always followed, including risk assessments and accident investigations Planning, coordinating, and delegating tasks across Goods-In, Picking, Packing, and Dispatch Monitoring daily performance, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in every process Conducting shift briefings, keeping the team motivated and aligned with business goals Managing staff training, inductions, and upskilling to build a flexible and skilled workforce Problem-solving operational issues in real time and implementing effective solutions Collaborating with the Warehouse Manager on continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity Supporting site security through open-up and lock-up procedures What We’re Looking For: Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment Strong leadership and people management skills Confident in decision-making, problem-solving, and handling operational challenges Good IT skills, with knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Highly organised, proactive, and able to prioritise tasks effectively A hands-on approach, leading by example and inspiring the team Benefits Salary is £33,750 Be part of a fast-growing company Join a friendly, close-knit team Enhanced parental leave Generous staff discount Annual paid volunteering day Employee Assistance Programme Friends and Family Referral Scheme 33 Days Annual Leave (including bank holidays) Paid lunch break
