Job Title: GCSE English and Maths Tutor

Job Duties:
* Provide tailored tutoring sessions to Looked After Children (LAC) in GCSE English and Maths
* Create engaging lesson plans and learning materials
* Assess students' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly
* Collaborate with social workers and guardians to support students' educational needs
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
Required Qualifications:
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
* Enhanced DBS check
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Previous experience working with Looked After Children or in a similar educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong knowledge of the GCSE English and Maths curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
* Organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in working with vulnerable or disadvantaged youth
* Additional certifications in Special Education Needs (SEN) or related areas

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
