The organisation is looking to realign/reengineer their IT systems into one common platform, most likely SAGE 200, within a cloud-based Azure domain.
The group is a multinational sustainable products organisation with three companies:
1. Corby – Current framework connects to a central server in the Benelux region with a remote desktop.
2. Newport - Standalone server with access to Co data on a hosted platform.
3. Skipton - Remote desktop farm connecting to two remote terminal servers onsite, including an app server, DC, and a SQL reporting server.
With multiple offices throughout Europe and over 150 years of pedigree, the group is well established and secure.
The ultimate opportunity is to be the champion of all IT projects for one part of the group as they enter their new phase of growth. Your recommendations, consultative approach, and technical prowess will be required for implementation, business systems change, and risk management. Current IT systems will need BAU attention throughout the project phase, therefore the role is 70% project and 30% BAU. You will work closely with the MD for the group, having control and autonomy to make beneficial changes.
The role will involve a large element of freedom to work at other sites, such as the Corby and Newport facilities, but will primarily be based 90-95% of the time at Skipton or via home working.
Technical domain:
* Microsoft stack - typical Windows/Server domain
* Navision
* Abacca
* Sage 50 accounts (ODBC database) moving to Sage 200 (SQL based) in weeks
* Sage manufacturing SQL - moving to Sage 200
* Swiftpage Act CRM (SQL Based)
* Tableau and Power BI for reporting
* Office 365
The goal for the company is to bring all systems together as they implement the Sage 200 server, which is currently being discussed within the group and could be on the Azure cloud or hosted onsite in NL.
