Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and forward-thinking Physiotherapist with relevant experience to lead the cardiorespiratory medicine team within our dynamic Physiotherapy service at North Bristol NHS Trust. Main duties of the job The post holder will be the team lead ensuring the delivery of a high quality Physiotherapy Service across the Cardiorespiratory Medicine wards, ED, resus, Acute admission unit as well as in reaching in to Intensive care as required. This post will also be part of the Medicine Physiotherapy Pathway supporting the development of the service including working as part of the on call management team to support the education, training and roster admin. The post holder will provide highly specialist assessment and interventions for a busy and varied caseload demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning skills and with specific knowledge of cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. This role also will support training of staff to gain on call competencies both on rotation and as part of on call duties. They will take a lead in multi-disciplinary activities and have highly developed specialist knowledge and communicate complex condition related information to patients, relative and Carers. The role will include supporting complex acute patients include a busy HDU ward areas respiratory ward area and assisting in facilitating timely discharges to be achieved by the service. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Leadership Team to support and further develop the Physiotherapy Service and manage the day to day running of the team.
