Working Hours: 08:15 - 14:45, Monday to Friday
Salary: £14.45 - £15.20 per hour
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a newly established special needs provision that is part of a respected academy trust.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in providing essential support to pupils aged 4 to 19 with autism (ASD) or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and support staff to ensure that students require the care and education they deserve in a structured and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering tailored educational support to pupils with diverse learning needs
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Support students with their social, emotional and mental wellbeing
* Work collaboratively with teachers and specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
* Help students engage with the school’s state-of-the-art facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, computer suites and more

The curriculum and facilities are designed to promote personal growth and independence, ensuring each student can thrive in a safe, structured and tailored setting.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is essential
* Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD or SEMH needs would be an advantage
* A compassionate, patient and resilient nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of pupils
