Job Description A Senior Marine Systems Engineer is required as part of the Naval and Marine Operation Team in Basingstoke, UK to support Eni’s activities worldwide on different projects and provide technical leadership within the naval and marine operation discipline. Supporting review and monitoring of currently ongoing projects for new floating LNG and FPSO facilities. specific skill sets in the design of cargo loading, storage and offtake systems, slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production distribution and venting, diesel and gas power generation and their auxiliary systems, fresh water production, compressed air, etc. according to Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG; skills and experience on preparation and review of projects P&IDs/PFDs relevant to marine systems; Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID/HAZOP is required; The main functions of this role will include, but not be limited to: Preparation of technical specifications and functional requirements for the marine systems in FPSO and FLNG, during the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) and execution on FPSO/FLNG projects. Monitoring, follow-on and review of FEED and EPC LNG projects and projects marine system equipment/P&IDs/PFDs. Providing assistance to the company during Technical Clarification meetings and projects HAZID/HAZOP. Candidate's qualifications,experience and skills Candidate must have specific skill sets in the design of cargo loading, storage and offtake systems, LNG tanks, slop and drain systems, bilge and ballast systems, Inert Gas, production distribution and venting, diesel and gas power generation and their auxiliary systems, fresh water production, compressed air, etc. Candidate must have skills and experience on preparation and review of projects P&IDs/PFDs relevant to marine systems. Knowledge of Classification Society Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL as applicable to FPSO and FLNG would be a major advantage for this position. Experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPC LNG projects, Seagoing experience as second/chief engineer, experience in working with Oil Tankers/ LNG Carriers, past Experience as a Classification Society surveyor or Tanker/LNG Ship Vetting engineer. Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID/HAZOP is required. OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable to cover this position.
