Purpose of the role: To train our brand new drivers as they start their journey with the company, upskill and retrain existing staff. Aspects of the role may require you to also be on the road with our drivers and supporting them where necessary in busier periods, but overall you are responsible to make sure our drivers are fully trained in delivering the best ‘new car day’ experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Train a large team of drivers to deliver exceptional customer service. Oversee and develop the training program and sessions necessary to cultivate a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring everyone has the skills to match the task at hand Coordinate team resources to balance and achieve multiple team objectives within the time frames required. Provide, develop and maintain driver support systems including: PowerPoint Presentations, Training Manuals, Cheat Sheets, Video Libraries and Peer-Support WhatsApp Forums. Interface with customers using both verbal and written communications as required. Conduct trainee field assessments and customer handovers to provide cover for driver absence. Keep internal stakeholders up-to-date on progress and objective completion Visits to fleet sites to inform them if our difficulties and processes and learn their processes to cascade to drivers Carry out driver audits and one to one meetings Skills required: Full valid UK driving licence is essential, held for a minimum of 2 years (essential) Previous training experience desirable but not essential Ability to deliver training to a diverse range of people Competent using a computer, training given on specific software packages (essential) Strong Interpersonal Skills Self-Starter / Self-Motivated Ability to lead a team Adaptability with training techniques to ensure all trainees are engaged Professional driving experience preferred but not essential Exceptional customer service Ability to navigate on the road using tools such as Sat-Nav, googlemaps etc
