What we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity for a HGV Technician to join our team.
As a HGV Technician, you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands on the road, responsible for conducting inspections, maintenance, repair and servicing of customers’ fleets.
What you’ll do
Service, inspection, maintenance and repair of diverse fleet of vehicles and trailers
Electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
Overhaul electrical equipment and components
Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
Welding and metal working
Department of Transport (MOT) testing preparation
Parts ordering and stores management
Support team members including Apprentice Technicians as required
Accurately record time and detail of completed jobs
Carry out inspection and repair of workshop equipment as directed
Maintain workshop housekeeping and ensure adherence to H&S standards, putting ‘Safety First’.
Work safely and use the correct PPE in accordance with the appropriate SSOW for all tasks. What you’ve got
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Goods Maintenance or equivalent, or considered qualified by experience
Excellent customer service mindset
Great communication skills
Ability to work quickly and effectively
Must be hardworking and self-motivated and a productive Technician
Ability to tackle all aspects of repair and servicing
Diagnostics skills/qualifications – desirable
Fleet experience
