Key Responsibilities
1. Work alongside senior colleagues to prepare monthly management accounts, gaining expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
2. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies in a fast-moving environment.
3. Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing valuable insights to support key business decisions.
4. Take ownership of VAT returns and statutory reporting processes.
5. Ensure the smooth running of accounts payable and receivable functions.
6. Contribute to the efficient month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of reports.
7. Develop strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting business growth.
8. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency across financial operations.
Key Skills & Experience
1. Actively working towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
2. Previous experience in a finance role, ideally within a fast-paced industry such as transport, logistics, or FMCG.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
4. Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve in a dynamic environment.
5. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
