Your New Role Quarriers Glasgow North West Carers Service are recruiting a full time Family Wellbeing Worker (Carer Training and Participation). The service is designed to improve the quality of life and wellbeing of unpaid Carers of all ages in Northwest Glasgow by offering person centred, inclusive and holistic support focussing on what matters to them and their families enabling them to continue in their caring role, where appropriate and support them to have a life of their own. You will be required to: Deliver group work sessions to promote education and positive wellbeing for unpaid carers Identify, plan, organise and evaluate training opportunities for unpaid carers Ensure carers voices are heard by using appropriate tools to consult with carers and ensure their views actively shape service delivery, locally and beyond. Utilise volunteers to deliver and support the training, groupwork and participation in the service Lead on planning and delivery of events for carers eg Carers Week and Carers Right Day Undertake any other duties or responsibilities which are commensurate with the post What you will need to succeed/bring to the role Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude Experienced in Microsoft packages, Word, Excel etc. Ability to build trusting relationships Empathy and excellent communication skills Excellent team player Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals. I t is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car Working pattern: This is a full time permanent agile working role offering 37 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm with possible evening and weekend work.
