Job Description
* Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
* Performing risk and value management to optimise solutions for the client
* Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
* Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
* Maintaining awareness of the different contracts in current use
* Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations
* Ensuring that post-completion defect liability period obligations are met
* Working with the project team to plan projects and measure and value the work done on site
The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
* Strong numerical and budgeting abilities
* Excellent knowledge of construction processes and materials
* Proficiency in computer software for project management
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
