Duties and Responsibilities
1. To input accurate information regarding drivers, start / finish times.
2. To work in conjunction with the Shift Manager to ensure the transport operation meets the needs of our client.
3. To ensure all drivers have what they need to complete their day's work and allocate and dispatch on time.
4. To ensure all driver issues or queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
5. To keep the Shift Manager updated on any issues.
6. Responsibility for the day-to-day implementation of site people policies, engagement of colleagues, and undertaking all activities relating to the direct management of an operational management team.
7. Keep track of where drivers are and keep the customer updated if any are running late.
8. Full debrief of all drivers on return to depot.
9. Investing in driving our award-winning health and safety standard.
Experience, Skills, and Attributes
1. Experience in a similar position working in a fast-paced operation, ideally in the logistics environment.
2. A natural leader who can coach and motivate a team.
3. Must display solid knowledge of driving legislation, driving hours, tachograph policies, and the road traffic act.
4. Be able to use Microsoft and transport software.
Working Hours
21:45 to 06:15 any 5 over 7, 40 hours per week.
Salary
£30,000 to £32,000.
