The Good Shepherd Centre (GSC) campus just outside Bishopton offers young people a safe, nurturing and caring environment set in fabulous grounds with a garden wildlife trail and outdoor sports facility. On-campus there are three secure care houses, a close support house & a semi-independent living cottage. Young people who live with us continue their education in our school, on campus, or attend further education out with the campus.

Young people referred to us have experienced significant difficulties in their lives, and many will have faced traumatic and harmful situations and may be experiencing psychological distress; mental health problems; and problems coping with managing feelings and day to day life. The Business Administration & Office Lead serves a critical role at GSC. They promote and uphold the vision and values of the Good Shepherd Centre as a place of care, safety and learning which provides a positive, life changing experience for young people through individual care, education and skills development focused on promoting young people’s mental and emotional wellbeing and longer-term positive outcomes.
As Business Administration & Office Lead you will lead GSC’s Business and Practice Administration functions. You will directly support the Director and Heads of Service (the Senior Management Team) as well as directly providing senior clerical and administrative support to the wider Management Team in relation to key meetings and processes. You will ensure that the Administration Team delivers an effective Administrative support service to all care houses, education, health and wellbeing and support departments.
The Business Administration and Office Lead is responsible for leading the Administration Team, managing the Office budget, and supplies and services, and, alongside the Finance Manager and SMT, developing and reviewing new Policies and Procedures. They implement and maintain policies, procedures, overview and data bases associated with Business Administration at GSC and they manage specific Projects and tasks.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about supporting both young people and colleagues to develop and achieve their potential. The successful candidates will have experience of providing high level business administrative support and preferably with a history of line managing a team of administrators.
