Accounts Assistant | Permanent | Co Tyrone
Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established group of companies in the construction industry in Co Tyrone and are actively recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team.
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Accounts Assistant will manage the accounts payable function for group companies and will provide operational support to the team.
Responsibilities:
Accounts payable for group companiesPurchase ledger - accurate coding, authorisation and posting of invoicesPayment runs paid in weekly and on ad hoc basisBank reconciliations for group companiesMaintain petty cash records and credit card reconciliationsCoordinate and provide operational support to non-office and non-finance staffGeneral office and administrative duties
Desirable / With support
VAT returns UK/ROI companiesCIS and RCT returns for construction companiesPrepare accounts to trial balanceCompanies House and CRO annual returns for group companiesLiaise with external auditors and tax advisors
Qualifications/Experience
You will have minimum two years’ finance experience preferably dealing with group companies in a high transaction based environmentStrong administration, organisation and communication skillsYou will have a strong capacity for strategic thinking, planning and decision makingYou will also have good IT skills, with good experience of Excel Spreadsheets and preferably Sage Line 50
