The role of Purchasing Manager with Safran will be to lead the development and implementation of commodity strategies, ensuring the lowest total cost of acquisition is achieved for all Business Units within the business. Client Details Safran is a leading aerospace manufacturer in the UK, with facilities that design and produce aircraft equipment and provide MRO services Description Your duties as the Purchasing Manager include: Develop, motivate and performance manage a Purchasing team of 7 on a day to day basis Act as a Continuous Improvement champion, seeking out ways to make improvements to the bottom line Deliver improvements in cost and service levels from indirect suppliers to Safran UK business units. Create and maintain a culture of internal customer service. Develop strategies for Indirect spend, ensuring full alignment with the needs of UK businesses. Manage strategic and Operational negotiations and where appropriate negotiate directly with suppliers. Support Buyers and Commodity Managers as required in key negotiations.
