The Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases program, as a leader in the effort to end malaria illnesses and deaths, refines and develops tools and approaches, supports national programs, and builds evidence and data to empower national governments to pursue malaria elimination.
PATH’s Malaria Portfolio is seeking a senior advisor who is an expert on using digital tools in malaria, disease surveillance, health information systems development, and health sector digitalization to help PATH envision and realize the future of malaria prevention, care, and elimination in the digital age.
Responsibilities:
* Leverage understanding of data and digital health landscape to support national malaria, NTD, and other disease surveillance programs.
* Lead the development of collaborative, integrated digitally enabled approaches for countries with diverse malaria stakeholders.
* Support partners and malaria programs with data governance, sharing, and privacy standards.
* Support country Ministries of Health with the development of geo-registries and improving geographical data.
* Advise country-based teams on technology platforms for malaria indicators.
* Facilitate strategy discussions for digitalization in the malaria space.
* Connect digital activities within PATH’s programs to leverage lessons learned.
* Link PATH Malaria’s digital health activities to broader global digital health investments.
* Design partnerships for data and digital health within malaria.
* Support proposal development for additional resources.
* Represent PATH’s malaria and digital experience internally and externally.
* Supervise and mentor junior technical staff members.
Qualifications:
* 10+ years of experience designing and implementing digital health programs.
* Advanced technical knowledge of malaria and existing digital tools.
* Experience with a broad range of digital health tools.
* Strong digital system design and architecture skills.
* Experience in systems integration and implementation.
* Knowledge of international health interoperability patterns and architectures.
* Experience with data storage and management approaches.
* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
* Ability to travel up to 30%.
* Proficiency in English and French required.
Location: Preferred: London, Geneva, Brussels; Will also consider: PATH Africa Offices, US East Coast (Washington DC or remote)
