To support customer demand, we are currently seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver at our Seaham depot. Shift Available: 07:00 – 18:00 on rotating 4 on 4 off day shift schedule. Based out of our Wynyard (Billingham) operating centre at Customers site, its shuttle work between their factories. Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour, plus a weekly irregular shift allowance of £40.00 paid weekly. Duties and Responsibilities Drivers will be required to complete a v aried work base including distance, and local shuttle routes. Ensure the vehicle is legal and roadworthy at all times - all daily checks are completed, and any vehicle defects are reported. Ensure the correct goods have been loaded and are secure before moving the vehicle. Carry out trunking and multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner and in accordance with the law (including drivers working time regulations). Double check deliveries with the customer whilst providing a polite and helpful experience. Obtain relevant signatures and paperwork before returning to your home depot. What are we looking for? Someone with a CE driving licence, a valid in date DigiTacho and CPC. Previous Class 1 driving experience. Someone who can lift up to 18kg.
