Job Description
The role of Transport Coordinator in Burntwood will involve:
* Liaising with various stakeholders including UK/International hauliers and the procurement team to organise collections and delivery slots.
* Organising and managing driver paperwork.
* Coordinating with the Logistics team to schedule deliveries, ensuring the smooth movement of transport around the site and yard management.
* Building and maintaining excellent working relationships with the team, suppliers, and customers.
* Dealing with and managing any transport issues such as delays in deliveries.
* Recording and inputting information into the ERP system.
* Ensuring the safe movement of transport and materials/goods to all areas of the facility.
* Making sure company rules, policies, and procedures are followed.
The Successful Applicant
The successful Transport Coordinator will need:
* A strong understanding of transport functions, particularly road freight.
* Knowledge and experience of customs procedures, particularly around the export of goods.
* Strong and confident communication skills.
* Excellent organisational skills to coordinate transport functions in a busy environment.
* An analytical approach and attention to detail with the ability to question processes and issues.
* The ability to multitask and solve issues in a fast-paced environment.
* Good IT skills.
* A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.
