Technical Sales Manager – South West & Wales
We are excited to be partnering with a leading international manufacturer within the bathroom and building services industry. Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to oversee the South West and Wales region, including Swansea, Cardiff, Gloucestershire, and surrounding areas (postcodes: SA, LD, CF, NP, HR, GL).
The Opportunity: This role covers a thriving region with a turnover of approximately £3 million per year, focusing on merchants (30%) and contractors (70%). You’ll manage a diverse client base, including 10 merchants such as BSS, Wolseley Group, Ashworths, and City Plumbing, along with 30-40 contractors. The role is evenly split between account management and new business development, offering the perfect balance to nurture existing relationships while driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales & Client Management: Build and manage relationships with merchants and contractors, ensuring a strong pipeline of business across the region.
* Project Development: Work closely with contractors to secure project business on all commercial schemes.
* Training & Support: Deliver on-site training and product demonstrations to clients weekly, showcasing the product’s value and technical advantages.
* Market Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and competitors to identify opportunities and provide insights.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience: Proven experience working with merchants and contractors, ideally within the building services or piping sectors.
* Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster long-term relationships.
* Drive: A team player with a proactive attitude, eager to learn and grow within a supportive leadership team.
* Technical Background: While industry experience is ideal, we’re open to candidates with a background in technical sales or related fields.
