Job summary To work as a core member of the nursing and rehabilitation teams. Assessing patients personal aims and interests to plan appropriate therapeutic and leisure activities both for patients accessing day services and on request for patients on the in-patient unit and in the rehabilitation department. To assist with nursing care duties for patients as necessary. To lead group activities such as gentle exercise or relaxation programmes under the guidance of senior nursing or rehabilitation team members. Under the guidance of the Wellbeing Lead, liaise with external providers as necessary. Work in conjunction with Wellbeing Lead and Volunteer Manager to help coordinate volunteer activities as required. Previous experience is Palliative Care is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
