Based in Kingswood, Surrey - Finepoint Broadcast Ltd has been supplying broadcasters with a wide range of production and OB equipment for over 35 years. This has always been complemented with a unique blend of exceptional service and extensive product knowledge.
Long established and family run, we are known as one of the leading broadcast dry hire companies in the country.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Driver/Technician to join our friendly team. This is not a multi-drop delivery role; we have a small client base that has regular deliveries and collections, and you will be the face of Finepoint.
You will also be responsible for processing, maintaining, and preparing equipment to be delivered to our clients.
Duties
* Operate a van or lorry to deliver products to various locations while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
* Load and unload goods, ensuring that all items are handled carefully to avoid damage.
* Perform heavy lifting as required, ensuring that all deliveries are completed efficiently.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered during transport.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes that may arise.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
* Scan in and out equipment using our Insphire equipment tracking system.
* Very occasional UK/foreign travel, often in unsociable hours.
* Work alongside our warehouse and engineering teams to ensure prompt & correct delivery of all kit.
* Prepare broadcast hire and sales equipment.
Required Skills / Experience
* Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
* A valid commercial driving licence is required for operating larger vehicles.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and calmly in a busy environment.
* Technical interest in broadcast equipment is a prerequisite; however, specific skills in bench engineering are not essential as full training will be given.
* Highly organised, a quick thinker/learner, and personable.
* Comfortable with the responsibility of high-value equipment.
* Basic IT skills.
* A “team player” at all times.
Salary: Negotiable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£14.40 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
