Solution 47 Recruitment are recruiting for a fulltime Account Manager working in Haverhill Monday to Friday 9-5pm. Our client is a market leader in their industry. You will take charge and own the relationships with selected customers. They will be responsible for building long-term relationships with a group of customer accounts and will generally support those customers for the entire life of the relationship with our client. In addition to building customer relationships, account managers will be the first point of contact for sales opportunities and will respond to the majority of price requests for customer contacts. They will own all the customer opportunities and will look to maximise the conversion of all open opportunities. Primary Responsibilities: • Generate sales among client accounts, deploying upselling and cross-selling techniques when required. • Operate as the primary point of contact for their customers, ensuring they are responsive and always available. • Develop trust relationships with their customers by providing solution to their problems, to ensure they do not turn to the competition. • Acquire an understanding of customer wants and needs and communicate these needs to the wider team. • Own the selected customer accounts and serve as the link between customers and internal teams. • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers, on time, every time. • Manage and assist with daily quoting to maximise opportunities, quote conversions and service levels. • Ensure all opportunities are followed up and leverage relationships to assist with improving the conversion rates of open opportunities. • Monitor customers performance and prepare regular reports of progress against forecasts for key account manager and sales manager. • Own and resolve all issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints swiftly to maintain trust. Our client will be judged on how it performs when things go wrong. • Play an integral part in generating new sales by sharing up-to-date product and service knowledge with selected accounts. • Assist key account manager and sales manager with annual sales forecasts. • Establish and maintain regular contact with all customers through face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings, phone calls, exhibitions, emails, and social media. Priority should always be given to face-to-face and verbal communications. • Drive personal performance to ensure they are hitting internal service KPI’s. • Ensure all customer contact information is up to date in the company’s systems. • Support all members of the team and assist with administration tasks as and when required. Skills and Attributes • Proven track record as account manager or 3 years in sales position. • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude for building relationships. • Enjoys verbal interactions with customers and building customer networks. • Experience of complaint management and dispute resolution. • Excellent organisational and project management skills. • Proven ability in problem-solving and negotiation. • Not egotistical and are a strong team player. • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, along with ERP and CRM systems. • Must be willing and able to travel to clients’ offices and industry events.
