Maintain an effective system for recording, controlling, and responding to all requests for information received by the ICB under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act.
1. Ensure that all requests for information are logged and managed in a way that enables the ICB to comply with the requirements of the Act as regards disclosure and response times.
2. Advise managers on the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and their duties and responsibilities under it.
3. Ensure that the organisations publication scheme is up to date.
4. Prepare regular reports of FOI/SAR activity, highlighting and escalating any breaches to the appropriate senior manager within appropriate timescales.
5. Liaise with communications staff, other staff and managers over FOI issues.
6. Liaise with the Information Governance staff in relation to the release of confidential data.
7. Prepare reports and correspondence ensuring all information is consistently reported, accurately presented, and produced on time.
8. Work with and support the Corporate Governance team on a variety of areas with the goal of improving compliance around legislative requirements.
9. Support the completion and submission of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit.
10. Effectively process Freedom of Information requests in line with legislation and local policy.
11. Effectively process Subject Access Requests in line with legislation and local policy.
12. Develop and maintain effective information systems to support the processing of Freedom of Information requests and Subject Access Requests.
13. Provide training, advice, and support on own area of responsibility.
14. Support training and induction of new and existing staff.
15. Participate in the recruitment process of support staff.
16. Undertake auditing of projects, services, initiatives.
17. Deliver against agreed objectives, achieving quality outcomes.
18. Organise meetings or events and assist in the diary management requirements of individuals in connection with the portfolio of work.
19. Contribute to the review and development of policies within areas of knowledge.
20. Participate collaboratively and effectively as a team member to ensure and maintain high standards of delivery across the team.
21. Support the implementation of internal audit recommendations to ensure desired outcomes.
