Location: Northampton, UK Blackstar Amplification is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Visual Content Technician to join our dynamic marketing team. The role will primarily focus on producing high-quality visual content to enhance Blackstar's global presence and drive sales. The role: As the Visual Content Technician, you will be responsible for producing best-in-class video and photography content for Blackstar Amplification, aligning with the brand's guidelines. You will create content for dealers and distributors to drive demand and boost sales revenue through digital channels. Your work will involve both studio and on-location filming, audio recording, editing, and ensuring the Blackstar brand is consistently represented in all visual media. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in music and a strong creative background in videography and photography. You’ll be working closely with the creative and marketing teams to plan, shoot, and edit visual content that resonates with audiences worldwide. Key duties and responsibilities include: Produce, record, and edit video content based on job briefs for Blackstar. Record and produce high-quality audio to ensure Blackstar products are showcased at their best. Create and edit photography content that aligns with the Blackstar brand. Direct all video content creatively in line with the Blackstar brand guidelines. Ensure Blackstar is portrayed aspirationally through visual content. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment within the Blackstar studio. Keep all camera, lighting, and audio equipment in top working condition. Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in visual media. Arrange locations for video and photo shoots and work on set when needed. Collaborate with the creative team and marketing department to plan video shoots. Set up and break down equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, props, etc. Edit footage, add graphics, closed captioning, and special effects as required. Capture and edit B-roll footage to supplement primary content. Assist with shooting at gigs, festivals, and events when necessary. Other Duties: Take full responsibility for maintaining brand consistency in all visual content. Contribute creatively to the continuous improvement of video and photography. Ensure all content is completed on time and to a high standard. Edit existing content into video ad reels to promote Blackstar products. Coordinate and schedule video and photography work. Liaise with demonstrators and organize video/photo shoots. Coordinate with the artist relations team to arrange artist shoots. Other duties as required. Required Knowledge and Experience: B-Tech or higher qualification in Video Production/Videography (or equivalent). Proficiency with Final Cut, Photoshop, Illustrator, and colour correction software. Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience in a video/photography role, ideally within the music or creative industries. Prior experience shooting still images against a white background and recording audio to a professional standard. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Specific Requirements of the Role: Hours: Full-time role based at Blackstar HQ in Northampton. Willing to work extra hours to meet deadlines, including evenings and weekends when necessary. Travel: Occasional travel to gigs, festivals, and video shoot locations required.
