Clair has spent a lot of her life in a long-stay hospital and is struggling to adjust to having her own home, so she needs support in this area. She already has a great team and is looking for additional staff who can support her in the next chapter of her life, which is to increase her independence and build her confidence. Clair is very independent, so there is minimal requirement for her team to support her around her home. She does, however, need reassurance around her emotions and help to make sense of these.
She has Autism and can find the world a little confusing and frustrating at times. When Clair is happy and well, she is great company and loves to get out and about. She adores dogs and will take every opportunity to get involved in dog walking. Clair is looking for caring and empathic support staff, so you should be someone who can understand the journey she has been on.
You should have a mature outlook with a good level of emotional intelligence, someone who doesn't take things personally and is prepared to work with Clair to support her in achieving her potential.
