We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
3. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
4. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
5. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times.
6. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
7. Support clients with recreational activities and social engagement to promote mental well-being.
8. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in care roles such as home care, childcare, or patient care is highly desirable.
2. Certification in First Aid is preferred.
3. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is an advantage.
4. Experience in hospice care or working within a nursing home setting is beneficial.
5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
8. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
