Senior Brand Manager - ViiV Healthcare
Location: GSK HQ, London, UK
Job Purpose
The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for shaping and delivering the marketing strategy across the UK for a priority brand in ViiV UK. As a passionate and confident marketer, the individual will thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment, working collaboratively to define, optimize, and execute the strategic plan for the brand.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of robust and impactful marketing strategies that deliver compelling value propositions resonating with HIV stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, medical, market access, policy) to understand national and local requirements, ensuring alignment with UK needs and EU/global strategies.
* Use of market insight: Demonstrate commercial acumen by understanding market dynamics, drivers, and barriers. Utilize market research data and analytic sales insights to adapt the UK approach, ensuring competitiveness and success.
* Review Performance: Regularly review plan progress, implementing systems and processes that drive excellence in execution. Employ KPIs, metrics, and performance reviews to continually improve offerings and maximize performance.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional teams both in the UK and above-country to align on strategy and execute tactical plans. Represent the UK at the Above Country Marketing Manager Network to shape strategic and tactical plans, ensuring UK business needs are understood and sharing best practices with EU counterparts.
* Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of brand strategy, ensuring effective execution and activation of brand, tactical, and account plans. Work beyond core responsibilities to deliver the best results for the organization.
* Above Brand Activities: Where necessary to be prepared to work beyond core role to deliver best results for the organization.
Basic Qualifications & Skills:
* University Degree in Business, Science or similar fields or equivalent experience.
* Marketing/Brand Manager experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
* Familiarity with ABPI code, preferably with experience in LOC marketing role.
* Proven experience in successfully leading complex cross-functional projects and teams with strong project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
* Evidence of identifying key opportunities and barriers which will positively or negatively impact the business and using this to then develop clear action plans to deliver results.
* Ability to work with metrics and KPIs to evaluate and optimize the performance of channels & campaigns as well as results-oriented with a sense of urgency and customer focus, resilient when overcoming obstacles.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* HIV therapy area knowledge.
* Strong strategic thinking, analytic, interpersonal and communications skills.
* Strong partner relationship and collaboration skills - ability to drive results in ambiguous and challenging situations.
