What the Job Involves As a Legal Assistant, you will provide vital administrative support to the legal service of the employing council. Your responsibilities include supporting legal teams with various tasks and managing data and reports using the legal case management system. You'll participate in project work and assist with basic legal research and casework. Administrative duties may involve filing, preparing court bundles, and handling documentation for court proceedings. The role also includes assisting the Head of Business Operations with Lexcel accreditation tasks, managing information systems, and producing data for internal use. You will meet and greet clients, adhere to Council policies, and handle safeguarding issues as necessary. You will collaborate to deliver high-quality legal solutions across disciplines, helping maintain a shared delivery back office support service. Delivering excellent internal and external customer service and maintaining respect for all individuals in line with Council's values is expected. Competence in achieving results and communication is necessary, and a focus on continuous improvement is encouraged.
