The role
As a Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a hands on, project facing, role, within the Through Life Equipment Support (TLES) business and will primarily support operational delivery of contracts to our Defence customer.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for delivering value for the business through the agreement and implementation of supplier contracts, deployment of a framework for management of key supplier relationships and commercial oversight to high value project procurements, whilst ensuring the delivery of day to day operational procurement activities.
1. End to end procurement and supply chain activity, including - Analysis of parts spend / demand profiles to inform sourcing strategies / establish level of supply risk, Market analysis for future requirements, Initial sourcing activity and supplier due diligence.
2. Managing the delivery, mobilisation and integration of procured supply chain solutions into operations
3. Undertaking open order book reviews with suppliers, with level of engagement driven by risk profile
4. Maintenance of contracts/pricing in ERP system
5. Ensure supplier performance in line with Babcock Group P&SC KPI’s and PI’s through effective Contract Management
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and requires regular travel to multiple locations including Warminster on a weekly basis (expensed) alongside home working arrangements.
