Job Description
Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance team at our Markham Vale 2 site, however this role would be responsible for the Management Accounts of the Harworth site + 1 other (TBC).
As Management Accountant you will work closely with the operational teams and other key stakeholders to analyse the performance of the P&L, prepare budgets, forecasts and provide key financial information within an open-book customer operation.
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday office hours, offering a competitive salary and package and the opportunity to work with a forward thinking market leader.
Job responsibilities of Management Accountant include:
1. Oversee the weekly production P&L reporting for sites
2. Review weekly costings and KPI information to operational teams and head office
3. Creation and maintenance of accurate MI for the operational team
4. Supporting role in the preparation or review of monthly management accounts
5. Financial analysis including cost to serve, cost per bottle/case, variance analysis and customer budgeting
6. Produce monthly review pack of financial and operational management information for discussion with customers at review meetings
7. Produce annual budgets and periodic forecasts
8. Ensuring customers are invoiced accurately, supporting role in receiving of cash to terms
9. Supporting role in site self-bill, subcontract and purchase ordering processes
10. Numerous finance related ad-hoc reports and project tasks as required
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Management Accountant you will possess the following skills, experiences and qualifications:
11. Experience in the logistics industry
12. Proven experience of working within an open book operation.
13. Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
14. Advanced Excel skills
15. Attention to detail and analytical approach
16. Clear and succinct communicator at all levels
17. Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
18. Questioning and enquiring approach with a real desire to seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data.
19. Comfortable working individually and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and improvement ideas for the benefit of the Company and its staff.
20. Hard working and flexible, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
