Sheridan Maine are pleased to be working with an expanding business based in Newbury on an exclusive basis to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant. This fantastic newly created role will be involved in a wide variety of activities including the following:
* Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions; invoicing, payments, reconciliations, credit control, queries
* Assisting with month end tasks; accruals & prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany reconciliations, journals
* Financial reporting; cashflow, aged debt, management information
* Additional duties; VAT returns, cash management, assisting with audit
The ideal candidate will have the following skills & experience:
* Previous experience in a similar accounting role
* AAT qualified or part qualified CIMA/ ACCA
* A good understanding of bookkeeping and credits/ debits
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong communication skills both written and verbally
* Proactive approach and problem solving skills
