Position Summary Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Operations Director will oversee key operational teams and ensure the successful global delivery of end-to-end solutions. The role focuses on achieving operational excellence, enhancing customer satisfaction, and implementing structured processes across the business. Key Responsibilities Measuring & Reporting Develop an annual business plan and operating budget for the operations department. Monitor implementation of the plan and budget, ensuring targets align with corporate financial goals. Manage and evaluate operational performance using key performance indicators. Apply industry benchmarking and best practice insights to inform strategy and improvement. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to help shape strategic direction for the department and company. Managing End-To-End Delivery Oversee all operational activities within the UK and internationally. Support pre-sales efforts, particularly in securing and managing major accounts. Ensure seamless delivery of event registration across all phases: before, during and after. Maximising Customer Satisfaction Work closely with senior leaders to define and implement initiatives that enhance the customer experience. Represent JET professionally with customers, service providers and partners, maintaining a strong reputation. Develop and maintain productive relationships with third-party vendors to ensure value and service quality. Foster strong connections with key clients, ensuring excellent support is delivered at all times. Leading Key Teams Directly manage key team leaders, including Project Managers, the Digital Systems Manager, the Operations Manager, and the Onsite Operations Director. Inspire and support the operations team to achieve individual and departmental goals. Coordinate daily activities to deliver a consistent and outstanding client experience. Resolve internal conflicts promptly and fairly, promoting collaboration and efficiency. Lead monthly team meetings to exchange ideas, share best practices, and plan strategic improvements. Conduct annual appraisals with direct reports and ensure appraisals are cascaded through their teams. Identify and provide training opportunities to strengthen team capability and performance. Helpful but Not Essential Experience in a SaaS business environment. Background in the events industry. Formal qualification in project management (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP). Technical understanding of IT systems, including databases and network infrastructure Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in a managerial or senior operational role. Ability to lead multiple direct reports and their respective teams effectively. Strong client relationship and communication skills, ideally within a customer-facing operational role in software solutions. Willingness to travel and work occasional weekends as required. A degree or equivalent qualification in management, business or IT, or comparable work experience. Experience in managing supply chains is advantageous.
