SENCo Assistant
25 hrs per week, Mon – Fri 8.30am – 3.30pm
Term time only including Staff Development Days
To start April 2025
We are looking for a SENCo Assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs to support pupils who have a range of needs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Working alongside the SENCo by taking responsibility for agreed activities/interventions. This may involve assessing planning, preparing and delivering learning activities and interventions for individuals/groups of pupils, including recording and reporting on achievement, progress and development.
2. Under the direction of the SENCo, take a lead role within the school to address the needs of SEND pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning.
3. To assist in the development of appropriate resources and teaching strategies in SEND.
4. To provide admin support to the SENCo.
5. Keep records of students with medical issues and liaise with appropriate outside agencies, under the direction of the SENCo.
