Biomedical Support Worker level 3 (Band 3)
X3 Full Time permanent post 37 hours per week
3x nominally based at Western General Hospital
Salary – Band 3 - £26,869 - £28,998
Applications are invited from individuals with an interest in working in a hospital laboratory environment. Candidates should have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work. Candidates should be educated to SCQF level 7 e.g. HNC; SVQ 3; Personal Development Award; Modern Apprenticeship; IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part 1.
The successful candidates will be required to perform a range of laboratory duties in support of the delivery of the clinical services. It is essential that the successful candidates have proven knowledge and application of IT skills. The duties may include rotation to histology laboratory, reception, trimming room, checking and recording of pathological specimens, filing and retrieval of patient material and assisting with the general housekeeping duties of the laboratory.
Successful candidates would be expected to rotate between sites when required.
