Queen Mary’s College operates several income generating facilities across its vibrant 25-acre campus, including a leisure centre, theatre, esports arena, recording studio and facility lettings. Whilst the college’s primary goal remains its educational objectives there is an opportunity to increase the income and strengthen its reputation from making available its facilities and activities to the wider community. Central Studio is a small, state-of-the-art theatre in Basingstoke, located on the campus of Queen Mary's College. The Studio hosts a wealth of events and performances including, comedy, dance, drama, live music, children's theatre and interactive workshops. Central Studio has been specifically designed to provide space as well as entertainment to the community, and with a large variety of different spaces available, the venue is suitable to cater for commercial, professional, amateur and community performances, arts and educational organisations, dance schools, conferences, training sessions, meetings, parties, rehearsals and more. JOB PURPOSE To assist with the delivery of services and to provide keyholder duties within the College’s income-generating areas, in accordance with the College’s mission and values. Including compliance with related laws and good practice. IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Duty Officer who strives to deliver excellent customer service. You need to be confident and ready to get stuck into everything from serving at our bars to locking up the venues late at night. PERSON SPECIFICATION The ideal applicant for this role is someone wishing to experience a senior role in order to enhance their CV and professional skills. By rota, the QM Leisure Duty Officers will work in one of the following capacities; Front of House, Bar Supervisor, Box Office Sales, Lone Worker and Key Holder. A flexible and mature outlook to working in public entertainments is required by all candidates.
