Now part of the Genuit Groups’ C l imate Management Solutions (CMS) business unit, Nuaire has ambitious growth plans. The Role Reporting to the Lead Technician, the role consists of supporting the day to day running of the Manufacturing Division whilst improving product build quality. The Technician will also help to increase overall manufacturing efficiency by participating in Continuous Improvement projects whilst liaising with other departments to ensure the smooth introduction of new products, equipment and processes. Training will be provided to achieve competency in understanding product build, expected quality and end of line testing. Working hours: 37 hours per week, 6am-2pm or 8am-4pm (could vary during training) Working style: Fully on site. Responsibilities Health & Safety/ Wellbeing Ensure understanding and compliance with health and safety regulations, company quality and environmental standards always following safe working practices within standard operating procedures. Carry out and maintain operator training on test equipment in production. Assist in incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and provide timely reports to management; ensuring all remedial actions are completed. Quality Improve quality of product build ensuring zero despatch defects. Product build quality audit and preparation of reports. Proactively problem solve to reduce assembly downtime. Ensure on time delivery through cell support. Process DMR’s for stock and cost control. Be a role model for quality and proactively seek team process improvements. Actively assist in the creation of FMEA’s and control plans Efficiency Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets achieved. Apply lean manufacturing techniques to team operations, aiming to exceed company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality. Attend production meetings to help resolve issues affecting production output. Continuous Improvement Proactively help to resolve customer product concerns by root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Effectively implement engineering changes, production trials and model changes. Ensure that internal and external audit standards are maintained, and that timely action is taken to address any improvement requirements identified. Apply lean / Six Sigma techniques to prioritise project selection. The Person Essential: HNC Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent Testing and fault finding of low voltage, single and three phase electrical systems. Fault finding in electronic and mechanical assemblies Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and circuit diagrams Microsoft Office (working knowledge of Excel and Word) Good problem-solving skills. Good people skills - has an available and approachable style, able to gain the respect and trust of team members Good organisation and time management skills Actively seek better methods or improvements to current processes.
