ROLE: Multi-Skilled Fire Safety Technician - Fire Damper/Fire Extinguisher Engineer/Fire Door Inspections
As the Multi-Skilled Fire Safety Engineer you will have expertise in the inspections and maintenance of fire dampers, fire extinguishers and fire door inspections.
You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire dampers in accordance with BS 9999 & HTM 03-01, as well as servicing, maintaining, and commissioning fire extinguishers following BS 5306 standards. Your role will also involve conducting fire door inspections and carrying out minor remedial works to ensure compliance with BS 8214. Accurate reporting and documentation of all work undertaken will be essential, along with ensuring adherence to fire safety regulations and health & safety standards. Additionally, you will engage with clients and site personnel to deliver a high-quality service.
EXPERIENCE: Multi-Skilled Fire Safety Technician - Fire Damper/Fire Extinguisher Engineer/Fire Door Inspections
You will have proven experience in fire damper inspections and maintenance, with a strong working knowledge of BS9999 and a solid understanding of fire dampers, HVAC systems, and air control systems. Certification in fire damper testing and maintenance is highly desirable. You will also have experience conducting Fire Door inspections, with a deep understanding of BS 8214, Fire Safety Regulations, and Building Regulations. Certifications such as FDIS, BM Trada, or equivalent are highly regarded. Additionally, experience in fire extinguisher servicing and maintenance, alongside knowledge of BS 5306 and fire extinguisher regulations, is beneficial. FIA, BAFE, or equivalent qualifications are desirable. Expertise in all or some of these areas is highly sought after. A UK driving licence is essential for this role, as it involves predominantly covering Central London, with occasional visits to Ireland, Scotland, and the Midlands.
