Main duties of the job
1) To provide professional leadership within area of responsibility – influencing national policy and strategies and holding professional responsibility for establishing, ensuring and governing standards.
2) The post holder will be an accountable source for policy level thinking within their own profession to support the ongoing development of professional practice and development of staff.
3) Acting as the link between DHCFT and the Chartered Society for Physiotherapy (CSP) professional body, the post holder will primarily be responsible for addressing the professional issues relevant to, and affecting, their area of responsibility in DHCFT.
4) To ensure the overarching guidance to ensure safe, effective, patient-centered and high-quality direct patient care which is consistent and equitable across all care groups in DHCFT.
5) To be accountable for the governance and oversight of patient care for the Physiotherapy profession within area of responsibility, clinical governance, equity, implementation of evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement, research and development.
6) Will also contribute to the collective AHP perspective through working in partnership within the AHP Committee group.

* Are you a registered physiotherapist?
* Are you educated to degree level or hold demonstrable equivalent experience?
* Are you educated to Post Graduate level study or demonstrable equivalent experience?
* Do you have a proven track record in service user and carer engagement and involvement in service development?
* Do you hold exceptional leadership skills and proven ability to motivate others?
* Do you have a proven track record in working across systems and with partners to deliver improved services?
* Are you a keen, compassionate, dynamic practitioner with experience of working within mental health, learning disability or child health?
* Are you passionate about our services and ensuring safe and effective interventions are delivered to service users, their families and other professionals?
* Are you an experienced clinician who empowers others and is able to support a culture of change within services?

* Experience of working as a specialist clinical physiotherapist
