We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Proposal Manager to join our Inspection Services team to be based in the Central Belt of Scotland (we have multiple sites across Stirling, Fife so must be willing to travel).
Position
The Proposal Manager will be responsible for delivering end-to-end proposal and tender management, ensuring the seamless coordination between sales, clients, technical teams, and operations. Acting as a central point of contact for tender packages, this role requires technical interfacing, risk assessment, and quote management, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, competitive proposals that align with client requirements and business strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring alignment with business strategy and client requirements whilst adhering to internal approval.
* Work closely with sales, clients, technical teams, and operations to create comprehensive tender packages.
* Liaise with internal subject matter experts to develop accurate and competitive pricing, ensuring all technical requirements are met.
* Identify and assess risks associated with proposals, ensuring appropriate mitigations are in place and track actions to ensure timely resolution.
* Develop and refine proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with client specifications and expectations.
* Continuously enhance proposal processes, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices.
* Track industry trends, competitor activities, and tender success rates to inform strategic decision-making.
* Track outstanding tenders and opportunities, providing post-award support on commercial queries and assist with variation orders.
* Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Key Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a proposals, bids, or tender management role within an industrial setting.
* Strong understanding of inspection services, conventional NDT or Advanced NDT; knowledge of wind, chemical, industrial, and nuclear markets beneficial.
* Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously within tight deadlines.
* Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information into compelling proposals.
* Strong analytical and risk management skills.
* Highly motivated, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
* Proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Experience working within a fast-paced environment.
