Teaching Personnel is looking for a Humanities Teacher to work at a highly inclusive academy in the Kingswood area. The role is 4 days a week (Mon-Fri) and is a 5-week placement in the first instance. Applicants must feel comfortable teaching Geography, History and RE – some travel and tourism may be included too. If you are a qualified teacher or newly qualified teacher who specialises in Humanities and would like to make a real difference by teaching secondary aged students in a classroom, we would love to hear from you Your new role will involve: Planning lessons towards KS3/KS4 Humanities curriculum objectives Delivering and teaching lessons with enthusiasm Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning, and reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary Mark and assess the work of students To be successful in this role, you will need: Ideally, some experience teaching History, Geography or Religious Studies to KS3/KS4, including GCSE Be confident in using a variety of behaviour management strategies Passionate about teaching and the impact of a high-quality education on children’s learning progress What we offer: Pay to scale Continual Professional Development (CPD) opportunities, including Team Teach training.
