Role: Maintenance Fitter- Nights
Location: HARIBO Castleford
Working hours: 41 (Sunday- Thursday)

We are on the hunt for a Maintenance Fitter to come and join our night Engineering team based out of our Castleford site.
Within this role you will report into one of our Shift Supervisors and will work as part of our fantastic wider Engineering team. To enable HARIBO sugary success, within this role you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of our operations via the mechanical installation and maintenance of all machinery and services required within the Production department.
Working hours:
This role runs inline with our night shift pattern (41 hours per week):
Sunday: 22:00 – 06:05
Monday – Thursday: 21:50 – 06:05

1. Preparing machines to operate at optimum efficiency
2. Attending machine breakdowns and carrying out maintenance as required; including preventative maintenance
3. Carrying out bench fitting and installation of new machinery
4. Following set procedures for permit to work, job recording, firm alarm muting, health and safety and hygiene set systems of work
5. Maintaining all machinery and ensuring all activities are carrying out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
6. Carrying out project and commissioning work
Can you supply our essential ingredients?
7. A fully completed Mechanical Apprenticeship
8. The ability to make decisions effectively under pressure
9. The ability to thrive as part of a team as well as whilst working independently
10. A good level of both verbal and written communication skills
11. The ability to effectively use IT packages to a good standard including Word and Excel
