An excitingopportunity has become available at Hedena Health to join the acute hub team ina fast growing and innovative practice as a Paramedic or Advanced Practitioner.
We areseeking enthusiastic and motivated Paramedics to join our well-established,friendly and supportive team. We aim for thehighest standards of care for our patients and work in a diversemulti-disciplinary team consisting of GPs, GP trainees, Practice Nurses, Paramedics,Pharmacists, Social Prescribers, Community Health and Wellbeing Workers and a MentalHealth Nurse. Equally important is our innovative approach to patient care, andour ethos of team working and personal/career development.
If you're new to Primary Care or currently workingin primary care we're keen to support your personal development through the HEEAdvanced Practice Roadmap. If you're a qualified Advanced Practitioner we'llcontinue to support you with annual study leave, CPD sessions and regular teamtraining. Main duties of the job
The core focus ofthis role will be working within the Practice's Acute team based at Bury KnowleHealth Centre in Headington. The Acute team focus on treating patients acrossthe lifespan with acute illnesses ideally on the day and often acting as afirst point of contact for patients to the practice.
Alongside the AcuteHub, there's the opportunity to work within our developing integratedneighbourhood team supporting patients in the community and providing acute andchronic treatment at home to help prevent hospital admission.
You'll need toprovide and maintain a high standard of care to patients and support the Practicewith other tasks as needed. This will include assessment, diagnosis, treatmentand referral of patients depending on their needs.
Inthe course of their work, the Practitioner will:
Maintain contemporaneous clinical records for all patientassessments ensuring timely documentation
Deliver evidence-based and patient-focused care, ensuring thepatients care, dignity, confidentiality and wishes are always respected,working autonomously within their scope of practice and seeking support whenneeded.
Ensure the safety of themselves, colleagues and patients bystaying vigilant about infection prevention and control, following practicepolicies.

4. Demonstrable commitment to professional and personal development
5. Experience managing a diverse and constantly changing caseload, prioritising and recognising unwell patient effectively
6. Meets DBS reference standards and has a clear criminal record, in line with the law on spent convictions
7. Able to listen, empathise with people and provide person-centred support in a non-judgmental way
8. Able to get along with people from all backgrounds, respecting lifestyles and diversity
9. Commitment to reducing health inequalities and proactively working to reach people from all communities

10. Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team

Qualifications
Essential
12. Full registration as a Paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

13. Non medical prescribing qualification
14. Working towards an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent
15. Completion of level 6/7 higher education modules in patient assessment/ management of minor illnesses
16. Completion of additional primary/ urgent care courses such as the College of Paramedics Diploma in Primary and Urgent Care or Royal College of Surgeons Diploma in Urgent Medical Care
