The role:
As a building surveyor, you will:
1. Prepare and apply for planning and building regulations approval
2. Produce detailed specifications for tender, undertake tender analysis, and issue tender reports
3. Support senior surveyors in acting as an adjoining owner's surveyor, building owner's surveyor, or agreed surveyor under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996
4. Take ownership of project management duties, including stock condition surveys and energy performance certificates
5. Assist senior surveyors with contract administration under various JCT contracts
6. Carry out site inspections, diagnosing defects and recommending remedial work
7. Conduct site investigations, including opening up, testing, and sampling to confirm diagnoses
8. Produce accurate and detailed reports on the condition of buildings and required maintenance
9. Ensure full compliance with health and safety policies and procedures

Your profile:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented building surveyor who:
1. Has a degree in building surveying or a related field
2. Is working towards or has achieved MRICS accreditation (preferred but not essential)
3. Has experience in planning applications, contract administration, and site inspections
4. Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills
5. Works well both independently and as part of a collaborative team
6. Is committed to delivering high-quality, community-focused projects
