Quality Control Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing Location: Sheffield Type: Full-time, On-site Schedule: Monday–Thursday: 8 hours/day, Friday: 7.5 hours Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 - May consider a higher amount for the right candidate About the Company A globally recognised manufacturer specialising in mechanical seals, they are expanding their Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) team to uphold and enhance their high standards. Role Overview The Quality Control Manager will lead the Quality Control team, focusing on enhancing capabilities, capacity, and efficiency within the Acceptable Quality Limit system and quarantine processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring product compliance across the global business. Key Responsibilities Manage and develop Quality Control policies and procedures. Lead and mentor the Quality Control team. Oversee measurement and assessment techniques, including calibration equipment. Handle the disposition of non-conforming products. Ensure product quality compliance with specifications. Promote and implement new technologies and techniques to enhance quality control capabilities. Maintain a strong customer focus throughout quality processes. Requirements Proven experience in quality management within engineering or manufacturing sectors. Strong metrology skills, including programming of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). Proficiency in geometric tolerancing and calibration processes. A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred. Soft Skills Excellent communication and listening abilities. Self-motivated with a proactive approach. High integrity and confidentiality.
