We're looking for someone to join our Cash Operations team who are responsible for a wide range of cash processing tasks. The team's main processes include supporting timely updates of cash flows including segregated client and transfer agency subscriptions and redemptions, instruction of Swift payments, investigation of custodian overdrafts and debit interest charges, loading of fees and expenses and also oversight of trade related FX's.

The base
You'll be based at our Schroders Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. That's our new operations hub - home to our client servicing, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
We're looking for people who are excited about setting things up, shaking things up, and working across teams. It's a chance to shape how we work rather than slot into an established structure.
What you'll do
1. Responsible for timely delivery of cash flow data from TAs to Aladdin, our internal portfolio management system;
2. Monitor dashboards in our processing application to identify and rectify cash flow problems in a timely manner;
3. Liaise with TAs and other external parties to resolve queries and build strong relationships;
4. Manage risk events and errors and make sure they don't happen again;
5. Make sure controls are followed, and that exceptions are escalated quickly;
6. Help manage how we sort out problems always looking for efficiencies;
7. Oversee FX services where cash flow is impacted, including reviewing daily reports, checking calculations and monitoring spreads and prices;
8. Set up, maintain and oversee outsourced supplier processing;
9. Contribute to annual due-diligence visits to Third Party Administrators;
10. Liaise with colleagues in other Operations teams on cash flow, trading and corporate action problems;
11. Draft and maintain best-practice procedures;
12. Help establish and maintain service level agreements with TAs;
13. Work with stakeholders to make sure requirements are met and service is in line with the service level agreements;
14. Contribute to management information and key performance management that senior management need;
15. Produce technical data on business change; and
16. Help design and implement updates or enhancements to processes and systems.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
1. Knowledge of how funds work;
2. Good with Microsoft applications, including Excel to an intermediate level;
3. Good with numbers; and
4. Excellent written and spoken English.
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
1. Experience working in a Fund Oversight team; and
2. Experience of transfer agency platforms and processes.
