We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Hull & War underwriting team in London. This exciting and pivotal role will provide valuable support in managing, servicing, and retaining our Underwriting portfolio. With exposure to the dynamic Lloyd's of London marketplace, you will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to a range of vital tasks that support both day-to-day operations and long-term portfolio management.
To support the Hull & War underwriting team and contribute effectively towards the maintenance, servicing, and retention of our Underwriting portfolio. The role includes providing accurate & efficient data management and processing of accounts, quality service levels and ensuring the end-to-end process is fully compliant in accordance with guidelines. You will be based in our London office and the Lloyd's of London marketplace with the team.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities will include:
* Enter risk data into the underwriting platform and maintain the underwriting workflow.
* Process endorsement changes and premium messages.
* Scan and maintain relevant documentation for policy records.
* Maintain and update the exposure database.
* Support month-end close activities and produce renewal and aggregation reports.
* Assist underwriters in meeting service level agreements (SLAs).
* Perform sanctions checks, quality assurance on slips, and assist with licensing queries.
* Liaise with Premium Management to manage overdue accounts, premium adjustments, and cancellation notices.
* Validate broker records, process bordereaux information, and manage claims documentation.
* Attend client and broker meetings, taking notes and publishing to worksite.
About you
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* Relevant insurance experience, preferably within the London/ Lloyd’s Market.
* Efficient & effective administration skills, demonstrating an attention to detail concerning work produced.
* Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (including Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, Excel and Outlook).
* Experience of working to varying and tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently.
* Experience with a transactional insurance system.
