Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and machinery. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Mechanic will ensure that all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to identify issues and necessary repairs.
2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
4. Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
5. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on each vehicle or piece of equipment.
6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Experience
1. Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
5. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are desirable but not essential.
