Full Time: 37hrs per week Proposed Interview Date: Thursday 6th to Friday 7th February 2025 (TBC) We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role is an integral part of our finance function, supporting the Management Accountants in providing high quality management information to budget managers in a timely and accurate manner. Key Responsibilities Include: Assisting in the preparation monthly management accounts and reports for budget managers, providing detailed variance analysis on a monthly basis. Undertaking monthly review of balance sheet control accounts. Assisting with monthly budget manager meetings, reviewing year to date expenditure, and re-forecasting year-end position Assisting with the monthly payroll reconciliation and checks on our external payroll provider, including submitting monthly requirements to the provider. Assisting the Management accountant with the preparation of the annual Budget. Assisting in the preparation of the VAT returns for Saffron Housing Trust & any subsidiaries. We are looking for a qualified (AAT), part-qualified or experienced accountancy professional with: Experience of completing assisting the preparation of Management Accounts Experience of statutory including accruals/prepayments, posting monthly journals etc. The ability to break down the barriers between finance and the rest of the organisation The ability to work well with the Team to ensure the accurate completion of the management accounts. Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel to manipulate high volumes of data into meaningful information You will also need to be well-organised, methodical and analytical in order to meet strict internal and external deadlines.
