Junior PHP Laravel Developer
Location: Worsley, Manchester, M28 3QW
Salary: £27-£30k pa dependent upon experience
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
The Package:
1. A competitive annual salary of £27-£30k dependent on experience.
2. 20 days' annual leave (not including bank holidays), increasing to a maximum of 25 based on length of service.
3. Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Delivery Software Ltd, trading as Dairydata, is a long-established, Manchester-based, family-run software house, enjoying a period of rapid growth. We develop applications for the dairy, food and beverage delivery sector and work with hundreds of dairies across the UK, providing software which helps those organisations manage their stock, their deliveries, their invoicing and via our e-commerce solutions, their client interactions. Our core proposition is now Software-as-a-Service.
The company is in the midst of a major development project, which will see all our core products transitioned to PHP web-based applications and is seeking high quality additions to our small and versatile team to support that project and continued growth.
The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual, probably in the early stages of their development career, capable of fulfilling a hybrid role to include:
1. Develop, design, maintain and enhance existing and new PHP based web applications, working as part of a team and following direction.
2. Provide support to production issues and requests, resolve bugs, technical and performance issues with existing systems.
3. Ensure successful software deployment and effective training with other departments throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Hands-on development work as per project requirements.
2. Regularly work to improve performance and stability of products.
3. Work with the wider development teams and product owners to ensure our products are continually improving in line with the business plan.
4. Work with development tools, especially Jira and Bitbucket.
5. QA/Testing, particularly with integration of other application elements.
The candidate:
1. Familiarity with and some experience of the Laravel PHP Framework.
2. Ideally some experience of using/supporting MySQL/SQL bespoke database applications.
3. Ideally some experience with Jira and Bitbucket or similar systems.
4. Personable & friendly character.
5. Understand the importance of customer satisfaction and retention and ‘Going the extra mile.'
6. Organised and able to multi-task.
7. Results oriented.
8. Looking to personally grow in an expanding and ambitious company.
Not essential but desirable experience with the following:
1. Good UX/UI skills.
2. Git versioning.
3. Composer.
4. NPM / NodeJS.
